The Karnataka Youth Congress Committee’s Yuva Vikasa Shibira, held on July 12 and 13, proved to be a landmark event in fostering youth engagement and leadership in the state. Under the dynamic leadership of Md Haris Nalapad, President of the Youth Congress, the event drew vibrant participation from young delegates, showcasing the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.

The event, held in Hubbali, Karnataka featured an array of workshops, educational sessions, and interactions with prominent figures. The aim was to groom young party workers for their mission of serving the nation. The two-day gathering emphasised the significance of youth in political and social reforms, underlining the Congress party’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Deepak Thimaya, a distinguished media professional with over three decades of experience, was one of the key speakers. Known for his compelling storytelling and insightful , Thimaya’s speech focused on the importance of impactful communication and public engagement. He urged the youth to harness the power of media to drive positive change, highlighting how media can play a crucial role in safeguarding Indian democracy and ensuring that the values enshrined in The Indian Constitution are upheld.

Shri. S.K. Umesh, a retired Superintendent of the Karnataka State Police, shared his extensive experience in law enforcement. Umesh’s discussion revolved around the necessity of police reforms and the critical role of law enforcement in maintaining public safety. He emphasised the importance of a trustworthy and efficient police force in ensuring freedom and development in society. Umesh also touched upon the welfare and upliftment of marginalised communities, stressing that a well-functioning police system is vital for the overall progress of the nation.

Minister L. Hanumanthaiah, a seasoned politician and a former Rajya Sabha MP, brought a wealth of experience to the event. His address focused on social justice, rural development, and education. He urged the youth to actively participate in creating a more equitable society by ensuring success in implementing welfare programs and poverty alleviation strategies. Hanumanthaiah also discussed the importance of progress in education, highlighting that a well-educated youth is the backbone of a strong and progressive nation.

Other notable speakers included Mr. Krishnaprasad, Mr. Dilawar, and Mr. SK Dwarkanath, who provided valuable perspectives on youth leadership and governance. Their contributions enriched the discussions, offering diverse viewpoints on how the younger generation can influence and drive societal progress.

The Yuva Vikasa Shibira was not just about speeches; it was a dynamic platform for active learning. The workshops and educational sessions were designed to equip young participants with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective leadership. These interactive sessions fostered an environment of learning and collaboration, encouraging participants to share their ideas and experiences.

A highlight of the event was the launch of the White Tee Shirt Army, an initiative aimed at mobilizing and uniting young party workers. This symbolic launch underscored the Youth Congress’s commitment to proactive engagement and grassroots mobilization. The initiative aims to create a visible and impactful presence in communities, advocating for social and political change.

Former Rajya Sabha MP Anil Lad also addressed the conference, sharing his insights on the relevance of the Indian Constitution, the importance of democracy, and the need for ongoing development and progress. His speech reinforced the significance of active youth participation in the democratic process.

Special thanks were extended to Basanagouda Badarli, Member of the Legislative Council, for his presence and support. Badarli’s journey from youth congress to the legislative council served as an inspiration to many young attendees, illustrating the potential pathways available for dedicated public servants.

The Karnataka Youth Congress Committee, under the leadership of Mohd Haris Nalapad, has demonstrated its commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders who will shape the future of India. The event set a new benchmark for youth-oriented political gatherings, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among young delegates.

The Yuva Vikasa Shibira was hailed as a resounding success, with participants leaving inspired and equipped to contribute to nation-building. The event reinforced the importance of youth engagement in politics and governance, emphasising the need for continuous efforts towards social justice and development.
