On Sunday, when the new Parliament of India was being inaugurated by the hands of the Prime Minister, the protesting wrestlers who were marching towards the parliament were detained by the police. After the detention, the police cleared the Jantar Mantar area where the protests were being held.
Several videos were making rounds on social media which showed the scuffle between the wrestlers and the Police. The friction between the two parties began when the protestors said that they will go ahead with the ‘Mahila Mahapanchayat’ near the parliament building at any cost.
