A senior female PCS officer assigned to Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, has been accused of cheating on her husband and posing a threat to his life. The sources state that Jyoti Maurya, currently the general manager of a Semikhera sugar mill, married Alok Maurya, a sanitation worker, 13 years ago. Alok has, however, recently asserted that his wife is having an affair.
Alok Kumar Maurya claimed his wife was having an extramarital affair with Manish Dubey, the Ghaziabad-based Home Guard Commandant. He said both misbehaved in February at his wife’s official apartment. Alok asserts that Jyoti threatened to murder him if he filed for divorce from her over the phone. When her husband caught her red-handed and learned about the adulterous talks 13 years after the marriage, she also filed a “Dowry” case against him and his entire family.
Alok Maurya, a grade 4 employee of hardly any means spent savings of his life, took loans so that his wife Jyoti Maurya could prepare for PCS.
