Tunisha Sharma, a TV actor, committed suicide on the set of a TV show on Saturday. According to the news agency ANI, she was declared dead when the police rushed her to a hospital in Maharashtra. She played Shehzaadi Mariam in Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul. There were reports that she suffered from anxiety, depression and stress, which may have contributed to her suicide.
ANI tweeted, “TV actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself on the set of a TV serial. She was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead: Waliv Police.”
Tunisha made her television debut in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. She appeared in a number of programs, including Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Gabbar Poonchwala, Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Internet Wala Love and Ishq Subhan Allah.
Aside from that, the 20-year-old has played minor roles in Bollywood films. This includes Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho, in which she played Katrina Kaif’s younger sister. She also appeared as Minnie Sinha in Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh. She also appeared in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 film.
Tunisha worked with several actors over her career, including Shivin Narang. Shivin, in 2018 said, “I have watched Fitoor and I found her (Tunisha) cute. And yes, I am looking forward to working with her. Until now we only had the look test and scripting session done. What we can tell about her is that she is a good actress. She has a different take towards her work as she’s just 16 years and is very new to television.”
Sheezan Mohammed Khan, Tunisha Sharma’s co-star, was arrested today after a complaint of abetment to suicide was filed against him, according to police. Vasai court in Mumbai sentenced him to four days in police prison this afternoon. On Sunday, authorities summoned another co-star, Parth Zutshi, for interrogation about the incident.
Sheezan Mohammed Khan, who was detained after the actor’s mother filed a complaint against him, starred in the show ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul,’ where she was found hanging. Tunisha Sharma’s mother alleged in the complaint that Tunisha and Sheezan were in a relationship and blamed Sheezan for her daughter’s extreme step.
