India’s one of the most beloved shows, The Kapil Sharma Show, is set to go off air temporarily. Primarily broadcasted by SonyTV, the show is forced to take a break due to the host, Kapil Sharma, unavailability to shoot upcoming episodes. According to reports, he is travelling to the United States for a tour, forcing the producers to consider a break.
The Kapil Sharma Show is currently airing its third season on SonyTV. The show features Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri, Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar and Archana Puran Singh.
According to the Indian Express sources, Mr Sharma has a month-long US tour planned in mid-June and would not be available to shoot. The team then decided that no new episodes would be shot at that time. However, the team will take a few pre-shot episodes to keep fans entertained before taking a break.
This is not the first time that the show has taken a break. Last year, when Mr Sharma had become a father, he had taken a break. During a Twitter Q&A session, a fan asked him why the show was going off-air. Mr Sharma had replied that he needed to be at home and for his wife to welcome his second child. Fans were delighted when the show resumed in June 2021.
The Indian Express further said that the break will be a short one lasting a few weeks. However, Mr Sharma and his team will take that call in a few days.
