Mauris Noronha, a Borivali West resident, presented himself as a social worker with political ambitions. His social media accounts showcased multiple pictures with various politicians. Preliminary investigations revealed that Noronha and Ghosalkar had adjacent offices, leading to speculation about a local political rivalry between the two.
Locals reported an ongoing violence for dominance in local politics between Ghosalkar and Noronha. Just days ago, BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad shot Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad in Ulhasnagar during a meeting at the Hill Line police station. The confrontation emerged from a longstanding land dispute, resulting in injuries to Shiv Sena MLA Rahul Patil as well.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut expressed his concerns on social media, suggesting a connection between Mauris Noronha and political figures. Raut questioned the government’s handling of the situation, criticizing the Chief Minister’s recent meeting with Noronha.
