Allu Arjun’s latest ‘Pushpa’ has become the most trending movie this year. The movie released on 17th December alongside the Marvel giant Spider-Man, and yet overtook the latter in the domestic collections.
One of the key highlights of the Sukumar directorial was the Devi Sri Prasad composed song – Oo Antava. Samantha made her first special appearance in a song with it. Reports suggest that the actress charged Rs. 5 crores for the dance number.
Samantha was not convinced to do a dance number, as she had certain apprehension. However, Allu Arjun personally got the Family Man 2 actress on board. The song has gained a huge amount of popularity online. It has become a regular feature in the Instagram section of reels.
Earlier, Samantha was reported to have been paid 1.5 crores for the song.
The song has been going viral since its release and has been used on several social media platforms, mostly Instagram reels. Earlier, it was reported that she was paid 1.5 crores for the same song.
‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is Allu Arjun’s first PAN India movie. The Hindi version of the movie earned over 80 crores. Interestingly, Kabir Khan’s dream project 83 was released around the same time. However, it did an underwhelming business at the box office. ‘Pushpa’ did not enjoy a good marketing strategy for its Hindi version, yet it managed to attract the audience to the theaters, especially in the B and C tier.
In 2021, Samantha made an appearance in the Amazon Prime Original, The Family Man 2. She received tremendous praise for her first PAN India venture through the show.
