Naatu Naatu: RRR, the film directed by SS Rajamouli since the release created an unmatchable sensation. Made with a budget of 550 crores, it’s one of the most expensive films in Indian Cinema. With ₹240 crores worldwide on its first day, RRR broke the record for the highest opening-day collection earned by an Indian film. RRR emerged as the highest-grossing film in its home market of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, grossing over ₹415 crores and surpassing Rajamouli’s previous film Baahubali 2. The film grossed ₹1,200 crores worldwide, setting several box office records for an Indian film, including the third highest-grossing Indian film and second highest-grossing Telugu film worldwide. Golden Globe Award
This is a moment, not just Indians but the whole of Asia would be happy about. ‘Naatu Naatu’ made history by winning a Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category. RRR’s music composer MM Keeravani accepted the award. ‘Naatu Naatu’ was nominated alongside songs like Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinnochio, Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where The Crawdads Sing and Rihanna’s Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

RRR Wins at New York Film Critics Circle
The New Year 2023 couldn’t be more rewarding for the film as SS Rajamouli won the best director award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. The filmmaker received a standing ovation from the audience while receiving the prestigious award.

Five Nominations at the Critics Choice Awards
The nominations were announced by the Los Angeles-based Critics Choice Association on its official website. The nominations are for the following categories, Best Picture and Best Director. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the movie is also nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film, Best Song for Telugu track “Naatu Naatu”, and Best Visual Effects categories.
