What is so special about it?
Popularly known as the Sachin Tendulkar pen, the Reynolds 045 fine cabure had carved a significant place for itself in the Indian education system. It was lauded for its affordability and longevity and gave its competitors a run for their money which were not quite as good. The pen could be found in almost every student and teacher’s pocket back in the day and continues to enjoy unparalleled popularity among people even to this day.
So naturally, it caused quite a stir among the netizens after hearing the pen is getting discontinued and they took to social media to express their shock and disappointment over it. Saying the iconic pen was a significant part of most of their childhoods. Some got nostalgic and shared their memories with it. Whether it was writing for hours together in the exams, scribbling in the notebooks and even doodling when you are bored the cabure had become the go-to. Reynolds pens offered quality without burning a hole (or leaving a blue patch) in your pocket.
Many of them stated that they even stocked up on the pens and said they planned to keep them as a souvenir saying it has been a staple in their houses and offices.

Is it really getting discontinued?
However, to the people’s relief, the pen maker’s company has dismissed the rumors and issued a clarification on its Facebook and Instagram handles, saying they have no plans of discontinuing the people’s favorite ballpoint pen. “We strongly advise our partners, stakeholders, and customers to refer to our official website and social media channels for genuine and accurate updates. Your trust remains our topmost priority,” the company added.
The pen maker company, shocking as it may be, initially began its operations in America and eventually came to India and became a household name.
