Sarjapura Town witnessed a thrilling football tournament, “Kicks on Grass,” on 9th April 2023 at SportZone, organized by the Lions Leo Club. The tournament drew in a massive crowd from in and around Sarjapura Town to watch the best teams in the region compete for the coveted Kicks on Grass trophy.
The tournament saw 10 teams battling it out on the field, progressing to the knockout stages. The competition was fierce, and the audience was kept on the edge of their seats throughout the matches.
Chief Guest Ravindra Navale DR. National JT Observers of Anti-Corruption Intelligence Cell, and Lions Club Sarjapura Town President Puja Chandra, along with District Chairperson Lion Dr. Paramesh, 1st VP & Leo Advisor Lion Suparna Chatterjee, 2nd VP Lion Pradip Khuman, Treasurer Lion Rupesh Chandra, Club Director Lion Seema Singh, Club Director Lion Sobha Rao, and Lion Anusha graced the occasion with their presence.
The tournament was sponsored and supported by Mr. Vimal Pawar, Singer, Youtuber Sumeet, Hello Kids-KAIZEN, mera Vacation, ATCO Builders, NAVA Expressions, Bhukkad Bawarchi, Namma Café 29, TekZenith Solutions, Little Elly, Fitup Security, Appu Pizzeria, Grounded, under Cloche, Town Hospital.
In the end, it was the Parkville Predators that emerged victorious, defeating Verizon FC in the final match with a score of 7-2 after a hard-fought battle. Parkville Predators won the Golden Boot, Golden Glove, and Best Player award.
The tournament was a massive success and was appreciated by everyone who attended.
