Parking disputes in Bengaluru have come to the limelight again owing to the tweet of journalist Darshan Devaiah BP which highlighted parking issues in the Nagarbhavi area of the city. Parking is a menace in Bengaluru as people build houses without creating parking space in their house.
One of my friend sent this:
These guys in the video have a regular habit of parking in front of their house. In front of the gate! When confronted they started heckling these women. Reacting to the tweet, many have complained that the city does not have a robust parking policy, leading to chaos on the streets and leaving commuters prone to confrontation with enforcement authorities.
A netizen reacted, “ Regular menace in front of my home as well.. A car will be invariably parked and it is tough to get my parents to hospital in case of emergency.. I hope @DCPTrWestBCP @blrcitytraffic will advise us on how to deal in these situations!! Again, will we get an answer? @DeftyDeepa”. Another said, “the neighboring property owner has also blocked the footpath completely by placing pots. These have to be removed immediately to send a clear message to all doing such nuisance & causing inconvenience to residents.”
“Also this looks like a commercial establishment in a residential area & the building also has no set back as required in the CDP. Kindly inspect & issue notices & take action as required. Thus it is the fault of BBMP for closing eyes to all violations. WAKE UP!!” said another netizen.
