Following the circulation of the video showing Pravesh Shukla urinating on a laborer in Sidhi district, he was apprehended during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident had sparked widespread outrage and condemnation as it made rounds on social media platforms.

In response to this incident, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the tribal laborer at his official residence, Chouhan not only personally apologized to Rawat for the distressing event but also washed his feet as a gesture of deep respect. The act aimed to convey the Chief Minister’s sincere regret and his commitment to addressing the incident with dignity and empathy.
Expressing his remorse, He publicly acknowledged and addressed the incident, he took to his Twitter handle, sharing images of him washing the laborer’s feet as an act of respect.
An FIR was filed against Pravesh Shukla under Sections 294 (Obscene acts) and 504 (Intentional insult to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the SC/ST Act. The accused has also been slapped with charges under the National Security Act. The MP authorities demolished a part of his residence on Wednesday.
