The Aam Admi Party is set to nominate former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Delhi MLA Raghav Chadha and Dr Sandeep Pathak among the various candidates for the five seats of Rajya Sabha from the state of Punjab. AAP has also stated that Ashok Mittal is the fourth candidate for the house from Punjab.
The names have emerged as the last day to file nominations for the five Punjab Ra Rajya Sabha ends on 21st March. The seats will become vacant on 9th April when the term of MP Pratap Singh Bajwa, Samsher Singh Dullo, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Naresh Gujral and Shwait Malik will expire. The election for the same will be held on 31st March.

MLA Raghav Chadha.
Mr Chadha has been associated with AAP for several years and has risen through its ranks. He was recently given the task to handle the Punjab elections for AAP. He worked with party workers to get a massive win for the party in the state. He is the MLA for AAP and represents Rajinder Nagar. He is also the vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board.

Harbhajan Singh.
Mr Singh, a former cricketer, has been chosen by the AAP to be nominated for the Rajya Sabha seat. According to reports, AAP had chosen him as it would help the party to strengthen its connection with the youth. Moreover, he will be suggesting ideas to help build a sports university as per CM Bhagwant Mann’s promise.

Dr Sandeep Pathak.
Dr Sandeep Pathak is an analyst who had helped AAP to fight during the Punjab polls. He was working on the backend of the entire process and has helped AAP win the polls with a massive majority. He is a professor at IIT Delhi.

Ashok Mittal
Mr Mittal was chosen by AAP because he is well-known for his social service and contributions to the field of education as the Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU).
