Telugu film director Puri Jagannadh has yet again raised standards sky-high, as is hinted by the trailer of his new film ‘Liger’. The trailer of Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer was released on Thursday, revealing much more about the film’s story early on.

After giving brilliant performances in the south, this is Vijay’s debut film in Bollywood. The fans were eagerly waiting for the trailer to come out after some bold marketing posters of the film were revealed.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Prabhas launched the Telugu trailer of the film. Dulquer Salmaan did the same for Malayalam, and Ranveer Singh unveiled the Hindi trailer.
One can easily infer from the trailer that it is going to be an action-packed movie. Much of the film’s story is also revealed in the trailer. The movie is about a poor boy from Mumbai who aspires to represent India in the MMA Championship.

Many looks of the star cast were revealed in the film. Ramya Krishnan, who left the mark of her character from Bahubali, played the role of Ligar’s (Vijay Deverakonda) mother in this film. Her powerful dialogue “Lion aur tiger ki aulad hai Ligar” stands apart in the trailer.

Ananya Pandey looks cheerful as she plays Ligar’s girlfriend who later cheats on him. Ronit Roy plays his boxing coach; Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Desh Pandey, and Getup Srinu also star in the film. The most interesting thing is that we can see a glimpse of American boxer Mike Tyson in the trailer. The exact role of Tyson is not revealed, but it is expected that he would show up in a boxer look.

Meanwhile, Twitteratis went gaga over the trailer’s release! Fans praised the trailer for the intense action scenes and adrenaline-pumping visuals. They also went on to claim that the film would have a pan-India mass appeal and rock the box office.

Liger will have a pan-India release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages on August 25.
