Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger is all set to hit the Hindi cinema theatres on 26 August, 2022. While the Hindi audience might not be awaiting this release, its Telugu counterpart has caused the movie’s reputation much damage.
The duo, Ananya Pandey and Vijay Deverakonda, along with their director, Puri Jagannadh seemed to have made a fragile attempt for a movie. The director’s most awaited comeback has put a shadow over his career, now whether this shadow is permanent or temporary is to be found out in the coming years.
The Hindu describes the movie as an “embarrassment” and that “thankfully, Liger does not end on a note that allows room for a sequel.”
Moreover, people have chosen to brutally beat the movie through their words on Twitter.
Please don't #BoycottLiger because #Liger Movie will destroy by it's own

#Liger is the worst movie I watched this year with direction so bad that every single scene is unintentionally funny. #VijayDeverakonda is horrible.
Ananya Panday can't act.Giving it 1.5/5.

Dear @purijagan – stop being lazy, crores getting invested as people trust you.
Next time – get a bound script ready and then go to shoot. You should actually refund us the ticket cost for this torture of a movie ! #Liger

Of late, I have been trying to be as diplomatic as possible while communicating my disappointment in a film because of the sheer hardwork that is poured in. But films like #Liger are harsh reminders that not all end products deserve your respect. Pathetic film. Utter crap.

Even though Liger is yet to set foot in Hindi cinema, it has been met with extreme criticism all over the country. People have gone as far as calling out the director to refund their money for the movie tickets. However, whether such a reaction leads a change in the way directors and actors approach the audience is yet to be discovered.
