Atlee’s birth name is Arun Kumar. He disclosed that ‘Atlee’ was his nickname and was frequently called by his family and relatives at home in an interview during the marketing of the movie Theri. When he first entered the film industry, the young director chose the name “Atlee” over his name, Arun Kumar.
