A 28-year-old man named Savad Sha was arrested a few days ago for masturbating while sitting next to a woman on a public bus. After being in jail for three weeks, Sha was received with open arms by the All Kerala Men’s Association.
While talking to the media outside the Aluva Sub-Jail, one of the members of the AKMA stated that the charges against Sha have not been proven yet.

Savad Sha was allegedly caught masturbating by a woman on a bus. When the woman asked him to stop doing what he was carrying on, Savad was seen standing up and hurrying towards the door of the bus. After having a little quarrel with the bus conductor, Savad Sha was seen rushing out and running to the opposite end of the door. She was caught and handed over to the police the same day.
After giving him a grand welcome right after his release, the president of AKMA briefed the media and defended the “innocent victim”. He also stated that the incident was a “heinous plot woven by two women.”

Ajith Kumar also stated that Sha was a victim of a honey trap. Half a dozen members of the AKMA had gathered outside the jail to celebrate the release of “Prathi”. Some of the members travelled from as far as Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
A Youtuber named Jamsheer was the first to popularise the narrative of victim blaming, according to a report by The News Minute. He shared a screenshot from an Instagram reel and alleged that the two women involved in the same were friends and had made this plan to “trap men” for reach.
The woman addressed in the reel, reverted back saying that she was not even in the state when the incident took place.
