Formula 1 or F1 is one of the watched sports worldwide. While the old guards dominate the sport, new faces are emerging and winning hearts. Jehan Daruvala from India is one such player. Moreover, the sport has made tremendous progress over the years and several new aerodynamic car designs have made the sport even more exciting to watch.
Jehan Daruvala is one of the most promising drivers in the sport and soon could make a big name in it. He is a noted participant in the ongoing FIA Formula 2 series. The F2 series is considered to be an important step before the F1 series. Mr Daruvala had always his sights on F1. However, with his recent records, soon Mr Daruvala might achieve his dream in the F1.
His dream is coming to be true when McLaren asked for a test drive. In its seven-decade history, only a few teams have gone on to earn as much respect as McLaren. Mr Daruvala has been asked to test drive MCL35. Moreover, it is no guarantee that being invited as a test driver by McLaren is a sure short ticket to the F1.
Although Jehan Daruvala is roaring in his career, he became famous in 2011 when he won the “One in a billion” contest held by the Force India racing team. Fast forward to 2020, Jehan Daruvala made his F2 debut. Since then he has not held himself back and has been working himself to make himself the fastest driver.
Jehan Daruvala has given number crunchers some interesting data to play with three wins, as many fastest laps, and 12 podiums from just 60 race entries. On the other hand, legendary racers Charles Leclerc and Mich Schumacher have on average produced a podium in every fourth game they have been part of the F2.
When he won the 2012 Asia-Pacific Championship and came third in the 2014-bound Karting World Championship; he moved into other forms of racing such as the Eurocup Formula Renault, Toyota Racing Series and the famous GP3.
Jehan Daruvala’s journey is certainly inspiring and makes India proud on a stage where it is difficult to get in. Team NewsHamster wishes Mr Daruvala the best for his future.
