The FMC weekend, organised by the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi is underway. The three-day event kicked off on the 10th of February and will conclude on the 12th of the month.
FMC weekend is one of the most attended events organised by IIT Varanasi. The event, which connects artists from across the country, is the country’s largest digital arts festival. The media festival has notable personalities to judge and mentor the participants in a range of events. The creative domains include photography, media, design, animation, and cine-creation.
Besides the events, the media event also has as many as eight workshops conducted by experts from the fields of photography, design, writing, animation, and cinematography.

Six different clubs constitute the council: Cinematography, Photography, Media, Design, Animation, and Outreach. The council has designed the event and workshops in such a way that it encourages a lively visual art culture among the students.
The council is expecting an estimated participation of 8,000 students. According to the college, the last edition saw mammoth footfalls of over 50,000, while this time around it is expected to be over 75,000.
