Amid the hijab controversy which is ongoing in Karnataka, a school in Mandya may have stoked the controversy even further. On Monday, schools for classes up to the 10th standard had re-opened in Karnataka. Arguments broke out between the parents and a teacher outside Rotary School in Mandya, a district in Karnataka. The said teacher was accused of asking the girls to remove their hijab before entering the campus.

One of the parents stated that the school authorities were arguing with the parents instead of allowing the children to enter the classrooms. The parents had requested the school authorities to let the girl students remove their hijab after they enter the classrooms however, their requests were denied.
While the students were asked to remove their hijabs, Muslim women teachers were also asked by the authorities to remove their hijabs before entering the campus. A journalist had raised this issue through Twitter and several netizens had a negative reaction to this. The same journalist has even shared the video for the same. However, a netizen did point out that the school administration might be simply following the court orders.
#Mandya dist administration has instructed even the teachers to be not allowed inside campus with #hijab. They should remove the hijab at the gate itself before entering school or college. #KarnatakaHijabRow #HijabControversy #Karnataka pic.twitter.com/bt33RTTmgp

Ridiculous.
Its indirect 'DHAMKEE'.
If you want to do a job then do it according to us.
If you want education then take according to us.

I believe the district administration & the teachers are following the court orders. The court has banned all religious symbols in schools till the court gives out its decision. Applicable to all religions. Right ? https://t.co/IzW8XkuFQq
