From being the crowd’s favourite to becoming controversy’s favourite, Shark Tank India has come a long way since last year. The show has mostly been in the news for the wrong reasons this year, and one of them involves serious allegations.
A former Shark Tank India contestant has claimed that two sharks allegedly ghosted him after offering him a deal in the first season.
Akshay Shah, the CEO of a company named iWeb has claimed that former Shark Ashneer Grover was removed from the show for his on-camera comments. He took to Twitter to make his allegations public, where he said that two sharks never reached out to him after signing the deal.
Like I said most founders fear, I am helpless 🙂 In season 1 what we faced, more than 50% others faced the same or worse, the outcome being Ashneer was shown the door and sharks counselled not to be rude and brash and be considerate but no founder came out in the open!

“Met a founder yesterday, who had got a deal from two sharks in season 1, who never met him nor responded to his emails post Shark Tank India – ab kya bolen,” wrote Shah.

Not the first time!
Akshay Shah opened up about the treatment he received from the sharks in season one. In an elaborate Twitter thread, Shah stated that he was treated unfairly on the show.
He had spoken about the harsh comments by Ashneer Grover and Aman Gupta which got him offended. While Ashneer has discontinued his association with the show, Aman Gupta is still a part of the panel.
