Former Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddharamaiah, has urged the Central government to intervene in helping 31 people from the Hakki Pikki tribe who are stranded in Sudan due to violence. Reports suggest that the group has run out of food supplies following the clashes over the weekend.
31 Kannadigas of Hakki Pikki Tribe have been left stranded in the civil war in Sudan.
The Anti-Kannadiga Modi Govt has left them to their fate, instead of evacuating & ensuring their safe return.

The situation in Sudan remains tense with ongoing clashes between the government and rebels, and the Indian government has advised its citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to the country.
The HakkiPikki tribal communities have a fascinating history, with ancestral ties to the legendary Ranapratap Singh. They belong to the Kshatriya or warrior community and had to relocate to southern India following their defeat by Mughal kings.
The HakkiPikki tribes are a semi-nomadic people who are divided into four clans: Gujrathioa, Kaliwala, Mewara, and Panwara. They are known to speak several languages of South India, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, as well as Vagribooli, which is similar to Gujarati.
