On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dressed in a safari hat, vest, and sunglasses, released a group of cheetahs into a special cage in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park. The prime minister also showed his love of photography by photographing the big cats in the national park.
The Trinamool Congress, on the other hand, used the occasion to tweet a modified photo of the Prime Minister, mocking him. A fact check by the BJP was not long behind. Jawhar Sircar, a Trinamool Congress MP, published a modified photograph of PM Modi taking a photo. In his tweet, he said, “Keeping the lid on all statistics is one thing, but keeping the cover on the camera lens is sheer far-sightedness.”
Here’s the tweet:
The BJP, on the other hand, was quick to see the difference. Sukanta Majumdar, a BJP leader, pointed out that the image showed a Nikon camera with a Canon cover. In his tweet, he said, “TMC Rajya Sabha MP is sharing an edited image of Nikon camera with canon cover. Such a bad attempt to spread fake propaganda. Mamata Banerjee…hire someone better who can atleast have common sense.”

Mr Sicar soon deleted his tweet after he received his answer.
Verdict:
The image shared by the TMC leader is fake and it is morphed.
