A video showing Christ College students dancing to the ‘Jai Shri Ram’ song is making rounds on the internet. The video is from the recent traditional day celebrations in the Bengaluru college, where hundreds of students are seen chanting the lyrics and dancing to the beats.
However, a report from Boom has found the video to be fake. The audio attached to the video is fake and has been overlaid on the original song that was being played there. An investigation by the fact check agency has discovered that the audio was put using the reel feature on Instagram. One of the students from the college named Pratham Makhija uploaded the reel with the ‘Jai Shree Ram’ song on his account.
The edited video shows the students dressed in ethnic styles chanting the line “Bharat ka baccha baccha, Jai Shree Ram Bolega”. (Every kid in Bharat will now chant, ‘Jai Shree Ram’).
