‘The Family Man’ has won viewers worldwide with its compelling plot and top-notch performances. The character of Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class guy living a double life as an intelligence officer, played by Manoj Bajpayee, has become recognisable. But what if we told you that the original plan for this series was to make a Telugu film with none other than Chiranjeevi in the starring position?
The creators of ‘The Family Man,’ Raj & DK, had initially intended for their work to be a feature film rather than a web series.
The renowned Chiranjeevi was their initial pick for the lead. In retrospect, it’s hard to envision anyone other than Manoj Bajpayee playing Srikant Tiwari, although Chiranjeevi would be intriguing.
The Family Man has had two fantastic seasons, contributing to its enormous success. However, the first conversations focused on creating a Telugu film with Chiranjeevi playing the major role.

Producer Ashwini Dutt revealed this, saying Raj & DK were excited about turning “The Family Man” into a Telugu movie with Chiranjeevi playing the lead role. Surprisingly, they were even prepared to remove Srikant’s children’s characters from the plot to satisfy the Megastar.
He regrettably turned down the project, leaving admirers to speculate about what may have been. The actor was concerned about how his fans would view him in a part that required him to play a father of two children, even though Raj & DK had reportedly customised the script with Chiranjeevi in mind.
The writers even considered changing the script to remove the children’s characters after Chiranjeevi conveyed his concerns to them, but the Megastar’s involvement prevented the movie from succeeding.
When the script for “The Family Man” was given to the megastar, he still felt good about the success of “Khaidi No 150.” Due to this choice, fans indeed speculated on the parallel reality where Chiranjeevi played Srikant Tiwari.
