Coke studio is one of the most famous music platforms in India. Their channel across social media platforms, especially Youtube, has a tremendous following in India. The brand which changed the game for Pakistan will be making its comeback in India.
“In Pakistan, Coke is now the number one brand by far. Ten years ago, Pepsi was the market leader there. The single biggest growth driver to the Coke brand in Pakistan has been Coke Studio”, said Arnab Roy, Vice President, of marketing for India and SouthWest Asia, Coca-Cola.
The much acclaimed Coke Studio is all set to return to India after a hiatus. It will be branded under the term ‘Coke Studio Bharat’. The new season of the rebranded show in India will have over 50 different artists from across the country who will create 10 tracks to celebrate the roots of the country.
The core of the new season is to promote the hyper-local culture of the country. The artists will focus on the history and culture of the regions in India through their songs.
Artists Involved
The new season has been curated by popular music composer Ankur Tewari. He along with Kausar Munir and K.J.Singh handpicked the best of the best from the smaller pockets of the country to create melodies for the new season.
Here is a list of artists who will feature in the new season of the show: Amira Gill, Achint, Aditya Gadhvi, Arijit Datta, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Ashima Mahajan, Armaan Malik, Bombay Brass, Burrah, Charan Raj, Deveshi Sahgal, Dhruv Vishwanath, Diljit Dosanjh, Donn Bhatt, Hashbass, Jasleen Royal, Kanwar Grewal, Mahan Sehgal, Mansa Pandey, Maithili Thakur & Brothers, Mohammad Muneem, Noor Mohammad, OAFF & Savera, Osho Jain, Prabhdeep, Rashmeet Kaur, Seedhe Maut, Sakur Khan & Sons, Sanjith Hegde, Shillong Chamber Choir and Tajdar Junaid.
Coca-Cola has partnered with Universal Music India for the launch of the season. They will serve as the Executive producers of the show.
