Bhavya Narasimhamurthy, the Ivy League graduate who left her plush life back in the United States to come to India to try to make a change, has been caught in a new hurdle on her path.
In her latest venture, she has been involved heavily in organizing protests in Karnataka against the unfair practices of the KPSC.
One day ago, Bhavya was detained by the police while protesting and took to Twitter to talk about the injustice.
She posted a video of the police carrying her away, captioning it “The ruling government is taking away the right to struggle given by the constitution. Is it democracy?”

As reported earlier, the Karnataka Public Service Commission’s (KPSC) practises came under fire once more for delaying the release of the results of their recruitment exams.
Even though the main examinations to recruit KAS officers were held in February 2021, 17 months after, the results have not yet been released.
The results for some positions, such as motor vehicle inspectors, first division assistants, and drawing teachers, have already been released, but those for junior engineers and second division assistants have not.
