The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has taken a significant step by introducing cafes, restrooms, and other amenities in the Hampi circle.

The ASI team has already inaugurated two cafes in Hampi, strategically located near the Vijaya Vittala temple premises and in proximity to the Ugra Narasimha Temple. These cafes offer a range of options, including tea, coffee, coconut, puffs, samosas, cold drinks, and water bottles, catering to the diverse needs of the visitors. The prices for a cup of tea or coffee range from INR 10 to INR 20, ensuring affordability for all.
Currently, the ASI team has a small store offering tea, coffee, coconut, and light snacks. However, with the forthcoming plans, the team aims to provide additional services, including a few rooms for temporary lodging, presenting visitors with clean beds, hygienic toilets, and essential amenities. The ASI buildings will be constructed in the distinctive Hampi architectural style, immersing tourists in the rich history of the region.
Furthermore, these newly introduced cafes and lodging facilities align with the goal of serving visitors with hygienic and freshly prepared food, enhancing the overall experience of exploring Hampi’s architectural wonders. The administration plans to introduce more outlets throughout the historical city, ensuring convenient access to these amenities for all tourists.
