Actress Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share her anger at being clicked from her private space in Mumbai. The actress shared two pictures that were clicked by the photographers from her house without her prior permission. The ‘Brahmastra’ actress can be seen sitting in her living room in the pictures.
“Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my LIVING ROOM when I felt something watching me… I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me!… In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy! There is a line you just cannot cross and it’s safe to say all lines were crossed today!”
Actress Anushka Sharma spoke in support of her colleague and reposted the screenshot of the same on her story. “This is not the first time they are doing this. About two years ago, we called them out for the same reason. You’d think it would have made them more respectful of people’s space and privacy. Absolutely shameful. They were also the only guys posting photos of our daughter despite repeated requests.”
Anushka Sharma had taken on the media organisation when her daughter was clicked after several requests by the star couple.
Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar also joined the bandwagon to slam the media for their behaviour. Alia Bhatt’s ‘2 States’ co-star wrote that such behaviour is no short of ‘stalking’.
Karan Johar stated that the industry and the media have always been accommodating but also stressed the limit. “ This is about anyone’s right to feel safe in their own homes! This is not about actors or celebrities, it’s a basic human right.” said the Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani director.
