Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the silver screen has been nothing short of a celebration for his fans. The spy thriller Pathaan was released in the theaters on January 25 and has opened to a bumper opening of more than Rs 100 crore gross worldwide.
While Salman Khan’s cameo won our hearts, there was another interesting guest appearance in the film, which got all the netizens talking. Nikhat Khan, Aamir Khan’s elder sister was seen playing Pathaan’s foster mother as an Afghani woman.
Nikhat also shared the reaction of one of her fans, who mentioned that he could see his two favorites in one frame: “Soo amazing ma’am, @nikhat3628 My favorites in one frame.” Another Instagram user simply wrote: “Hamari Nikhat.
She has earlier appeared in Mission Mangal, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, and Saand Ki Aankh among other films. Apart from acting, she has also worked as a producer for many hit films like Lagaan, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, and Tum Mere Ho, among others.
On its opening day, ‘Pathaan’, which also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, earned Rs 57 crore across India, Rs 55 crore overseas, and another Rs 2 crore from dubbed versions, making it the most successful Day 1 for a Hindi film, overtaking the record set by the Hindi dubbed version of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Pathaan also created history by having the biggest opening collections at the ticket window post pandemic.
