Aswak Ahammad, who is involved in 108 criminal cases, was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB). According to reports, Ahammad was hiding in Bengaluru, without being traced by the authorities.
Ahammad was charged with the cases of cheating, and fabricating false evidence by the CCB. After missing the court hearings since 2013, he was last rearrested in 2016 for skipping the trial 2016.
Ahammad has been involved in selling agricultural land in the region of Avalahalli. He was also named in the case involving the false creation of conversion documents, in the surrounding villages of Avalahalli. Several people bought the sites in the region by paying crores of rupees, only to be cheated by Ahammad later. A total of 108 cases have been filed against him in the Ramamurthy Nagar, Ashok Nagar, and Indiranagar police stations, in Bengaluru city.
The court declared Ahammad a proclaimed offender after he skipped court hearings while he was out on bail. With the help of a tip-off, a special team of CCB on the Outer Ring Road
