In a shocking incident, two men threw acid on a teenager in Delhi’s Dwarka area on Wednesday morning. The 17-year-old girl was going to school along with her younger sister when this incident happened. Police reports have stated that the incident took place at 7:30 am, and was reported to the police at 9 am.
Statement By The Family
“The police are investigating the case. My daughter’s condition is critical. They threw acid on her face. Her eyes are affected. I asked my daughter about the incident. She doesn’t know much/ She said he came and threw the acid. She was blinded and couldn’t see the person. Doctors are looking at her.” said the victim’s father.

He stated that the victim was in Class 12. “She left around 7:30 am and the incident took place five minutes later. They were going to their school. My younger daughter said there were two men and their faces were covered. After the incident, my younger daughter came running home and informed us,” added the father.
“Her Condition Is Stable” : DCP
“The two men on a bike came and attacked the girls with an acid-like substance. She has sustained eight percent burns and her condition is stable. We have detained one man whose involvement in the incident is suspected. The other, who we suspect to be the main suspect, has not been detained yet. We have formed multiple teams to look for him,” said Harsh Vardhan, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka).
Leaders Reacts
Delhi Chief Minister was shocked at the event and he demanded strict punishment for the guilty. “This cannot be tolerated. How did the accused get the nerve to do this? The accused should get the strictest punishment possible. The safety of every daughter in Delhi is important to us.” said the Chief Minister.
“Words can’t do any justice. We have to instil fear of immeasurable pain in these animals. Boy who threw acid at school girl in Dwarka needs to be publicly executed by authorities,” Tweeted MP Gautam Gambhir.

LG Demands A Report
The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, VK Saxena said that he had a conversation with the Commissioner on this matter. The LG demanded a detailed report on the matter and also sought to know how acid was procured in the city, even after a ban on the substance.
