Prithviraj (3rd June 2022)
Prithviraj is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a king from the Chahamana dynasty. It features Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut playing the role of Sanyogita. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari as other important characters.
Shamshera (22nd July 2022)
Shamshera is an upcoming Indian Hindi 2022 period action drama film directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. A big-budget period drama based on dacoits, Shamshera will also be released simultaneously in IMAX and dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions.
Laal Singh Chaddha (11th Aug, 2022)
Laal Singh Chaddha is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan and screenplay written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures. A remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Aamir Khan as the titular character along with Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya.
Brahmastra (9th Sept 2022)
Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva, also known as Brahmāstra, is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language fantasy adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Karan Johar. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film is intended to serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
Vikram Vedha (11th Aug 2022)
Vikram Vedha is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by Pushkar–Gayathri and produced by S. Sashikanth under his banner YNOT Studios. The film stars Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar while Prem, Achyuth Kumar, Hareesh Peradi and Vivek Prasanna play supporting roles. Inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi, the film tells the story of Vikram (Madhavan), a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha (Sethupathi), a gangster. After Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories which change his perceptions of good and evil.
Adipurush (12th Jan 2023)
Adipurush is an upcoming Indian Hindu mythological film based on the epic Ramayana. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. Made on a budget of ₹500 crore (US$66 million), Adipurush is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
Pathaan (25th Jan 2023)
Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the silver screen after five years is being highly awaited by his fans, and the announcement video of Pathaan certainly piqued their interest. The film’s director Siddharth Anand recently said that Pathaan “has been designed as the biggest action spectacle from the Hindi film industry.”
Talking about Shah Rukh, Siddharth said in a statement, “We have the most-loved superstar of our generation with us. It is an honour and a responsibility for us. So, we can’t make a misstep at any point. We ensured that Pathaan’s date announcement video gave bang for the buck to the audience.”
