After the release and humongous success of Pathaan, the water seems to have settled down for the Indian film industry. With all due respect to the unimaginable numbers which Pathaan grossed at the box office, the movies which followed its release, could not keep up with the trend.
After a slight dud which was marked by fewer mainstream releases than usual, the upcoming months look all set to renew the trend which was at its best at the beginning of the year.
Here are a few movies releasing in the upcoming months, which can take the box office by storm:
Dasara
Nani’s Dasara is considered to be the next big thing in the Telugu Film Industry. Nani has entered the PAN India zone with this Santhosh Narayanan musical, and the cast of the movie is leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie.
The movie is set in the rural parts of the Telugu-speaking state, and it focuses on community-based violence in the region. A majority of the hype for the movie comes from Nani’s unique taste in choosing different stories.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Jaan
Salman Khan’s film is usually an occasion of festivities in India. However, the star actor has not been delivering consistently, as far as the content of his movies is concerned. The actor has also underperformed at the box office if his own standards are to be used as a barometer.
This next Eid movie promises to be a family entertainer, which is a remake of a Tamil movie, Veeram. The movie will send back Salman into his family-friendly zone, which has fared decently for the actor. While there is little hope from the netizens over the content of the movie, the Salman Khan factor can never be underestimated.
Animal
Ranbir Kapoor will be entering a zone that many wanted him to enter. The actor will reportedly be playing a psychopath in an action drama genre. This is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second Hindi venture after his mega-successful debut film, Kabir Singh.
Touted to be the ‘Most violent movie’, the movie has an ensemble cast of Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandhana alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
The Vaccine War
Vivek Agnihotri was the most talked about director from the Indian film industry in 2022. The director sent shock waves with his directorial ‘The Kashmir Files. The movie which was made on a limited budget earned more than 250 crores at the Indian box office. Besides the performance at the box office, the movie also became a topic for political discussion, nationally and even outside.
His next movie will highlight India’s success with its vaccine policy. The movie will also mark the comeback of Nana Patekar, who has been away from the silver screen for a while. The meeting of two powerhouses will surely be a matter of interest for regular movie-goers.
Jailer
The Tamil film industry has been at the top of its game for the last few months. Besides delivering two industry hits in the span of a year, the industry has also delivered content. Rajinikanth will be hoping to join the bandwagon of the same with his next venture, Jailer.
Directed by Nelson, this movie has a huge ensemble of people from almost all the major film industries in the country. After the mediocre performance of Beast, Nelson would be hoping for a comeback with the Superstar himself.
